
What is Seitan?
Pronounced “say-tan,” Seitan is a traditional Japanese food made by rinsing the starch away from wheat and retaining the protein. With an impressively meat-like texture and robust flavor, Seitan is both high in protein and low in fat without the cholesterol associated with meat.
Vegan Holiday Roast

Ingredients: Water, vital wheat gluten, soy sauce (water, soybeans, wheat, salt), chickpea flour, tapioca, nutritional yeast, whole wheat flour, canola oil, sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, granulated garlic, granulated onion, spices.
Cooking Instructions: Stove Top – Thawed: Thaw completely. Pour contents into saucepan & cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until hot. Do not boil.
Oven – Thawed: Thaw completely. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour contents into an oven-safe cooking dish and cover with foil. Place in center of oven and cook 10 minutes. Remove foil and stir. Cook 5 more minutes, or until hot. Stir, and serve.
Oven – Frozen: Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour contents into an oven-safe cooking dish and cover with foil. Place in center of oven and cook 25 minutes. Remove foil and stir. Cook 5 more minutes, or until hot. Stir, and serve.
Our Favorite Leftovers Sandwich: Pile cooked hot Vegan Holiday Roast Slices in Gravy on a toasted bun. Top with mashed potatoes, sauteed kale, and cranberry aioli.
Storage Instructions: Keep frozen, or thaw in the refrigerator before cooking. Refrigerate and enjoy within 5 days of opening.
