With a familiar flavor, our Italian Seitan will liven up any dish. Great on pizza, in pasta, over rice, and as a crumbled breakfast sausage with biscuits and gravy or in a hash.

Fun fact: Italian Seitan was our first ever retail product to be sold in stores!

Keep refrigerated or frozen. Heat and serve. Enjoy within 5 days of opening. Can be baked into your favorite recipes, or for best results pan fry with a small amount of oil. If frozen, run package under cold water for 10 minutes or move to fridge 24 hours before cooking to thaw.

What is Seitan?

Pronounced "say-tan," Seitan is a traditional Japanese food made by rinsing the starch away from wheat and retaining the protein. With an impressively meat-like texture and robust flavor, Seitan is both high in protein and low in fat without the cholesterol associated with meat.
