1 - 1 ½cupspreferred bread crumbspanko, gluten free, etc.
sprinkle of salt and/or kelp granulesoptional
Instructions
Remove Banana Blossom from package, gently pat dry with paper towel. Place on a small plate or in a shallow bowl, and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the blossoms. Sprinkle some kelp granules on each side. Set aside. (This step can be done the night before for a stronger flavor.)
In a bowl large enough to dip each blossom into, mix together all of the wet batter ingredients except the water.
Add water a little at a time, stirring. The batter should be smooth and creamy, but not watery.
Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl.
Dip each blossom first in the wet batter, then press into the bread crumbs taking care to coat both sides.
Cook in the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, depending on your model of fryer.
Serve while hot!
