Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Upton's Naturals Banana Blossom

Marinade

  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp nori flakes or blending nori
  • ½ tsp thyme leaves
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Wet Batter

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup soda water or water
  • 2 Tbs vegan egg
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning

Dry Batter

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • 3 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • salt and Pepper to taste

Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauce

  • 1 cup vegan mayo
  • ¼ cup roasted bell pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika seasoning
  • ½ tsp granulated garlic
  • salt to taste

Plus

  • sandwich bread or buns
  • pickles
  • chopped lettuce

Instructions
 

  • Marinate Banana Blossom for 3-4 hours. Overnight if possible. The longer, the more flavor, and it breaks down the texture to make it softer.
  • Dip Banana Blossom in the dry batter.
  • Dip Banana Blossom in the wet batter.
  • Fry or air fry until golden brown.
  • Mix roasted red bell pepper sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  • Build your sandwich and enjoy!
